What Causes a Blocked Heart Chakra?

If you have a blocked heart chakra, you’ve probably experienced one or more of the following:

  • Shaming.
  • Authoritarianism.
  • Fear of punishment.
  • Enmeshment.
  • Age inappropriate responsibilities.
  • Or you’ve inherited shame from parent.
  • An imbalanced heart chakra means that there has been a disruption in your understanding of love.  You may feel you need to control a person or situation thus confusing love with manipulation.  You may give love in hopes of gaining recognition if you have a damaged self esteem.  Either of these attitudes may lead you to be a possessive and mistrustful person who lacks compassion.
  • A completely blocked heart chakra manifests itself in the antithesis of what the heart represents.  You are literally heartless and cold in how you receive yourself and others.  So, if you are not open to love in your life, you will not be able to feel happy and joyful about life or yourself.

Blockages in the Heart Chakra are some of the most painful and difficult to transcend.

The feelings of loneliness and sadness are debilitating and create a sense of immobilization and an inability to make a commitment.

At a deeper level, this lack of commitment creates the energy of judgment that interferes with the experience of unconditional love, the understanding of wholeness and the nature of interconnection.

Opening a blocked Heart Chakra requires a personal transformation at the deepest psychological and physical level.

If you are able to open this blockage when you use brainwave entrainment and a Heart Chakra meditation, you may experience the emergence of your true self, your higher self that dwells within all of us.

When you are experiencing a blocked or closed Heart Chakra, you may suffer from sudden waves of emotion.  You find that can cry at the drop of a hat, and feel angry or sad for no reason.  You may also experience a deep depression that seems to have no visible root cause.  And then, all of a sudden, you may feel very happy.  You are on an emotional roller coaster.

How To Unblock or Open The Heart Chakra

You can open or balance the heart chakra by meditating on it using brainwave entrainment.  Use the instructions on how to open the heart chakra at the end of this article.

Another thing that you can do is accept your feelings as they come and go.  Go directly to your heart chakra area—which is not where your physical heart is but in the center of your chest—and feel whatever emotion has welled up.  Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own.

How  Can You Tell If Your Heart Chakra Is Opening?

  • You will feel sensations in the chest area of your body.
  • You may feel an uneasiness, slight pain or pressure, in your heart area.
  • You may feel tingling or sharp pains in that area.
  • You may see, or others may see, a big change in your personality.
  • You will want to connect with people.
  • You will be more understanding of others.
  • You will be kinder and more generous.
  • You will feel unconditional love towards humanity, animals and nature.
  • You will understand that we are all connected and made of the same stuff.
  • You may feel a flutter or ache as the heart chakra area expands its capacity to love.
  • When sadness is being released, you may cry or weep, for no reason at all.  During a meditation with brainwave entrainment, you will often start weeping as emotions are tapped into.
